Good Boot
"This boot is well made. The lower material scuffs somewhat easily, but that was not a big deal for me. It will take some getting used to if you're not used to going bare foot/minimalist, but if you're looking for a good pair of tactical minimalist boots, these are good. Also, I normally wear size 13, but the 13s were a little roomy."

Amazing Boot
"I purchased my first pair in this style 2014. BTW, I am still wearing those same boots. I'm a Paramedic and work on my feet often. If you have a flat arch try these boots. Be advised that one cannot just put these on and expect them to be comfortable. If you are used to cushioned soles you gotta let your feet get used to working again. This takes time for your feet to get used to this style of boot. But, I guarantee that when you do get used to the feel and fit, you'll never go back to thick cushioned soles again. Initially wear the boots for an hour three times a week for two to three weeks. Then, gradually increase the time you wear them. Read the vibrant five finger article "how to break in five fingers". This is a long lasting tough boot for duty wear. You'll get the most bang for your buck with these boots."

Closest thing to minimalist boot I’ve found
"Okay so some people say that they’ve read that these boots are steel toe. They are NOT. Also, when you get them they look cheaper in person that in photo. Just an FYI
So, this is the closest to minimalist I’ve found. They weren’t comfortable at first. I got like 6 blisters and they have lots of ankle rub. Just being real here. So I decided to play with them. They are NOT true to size, order a whole size larger, and then REMOVE THE INSOLE. It comes out easy, then you will get more space in the shoe, feeling MUCH more minimalist and MUCH more comfy. Then, re do the laces while your foot is in, and tie them real tight. This will make it so your foot has lots of minimalist space but there’s no slipping or ankle rubbing. Do not wear tight socks, wear looser socks. Also, when the sole comes out, you see ALL the stitching so your foot rests on a bunch of cloth type stitching and your feet will SWEAT. And they will get itchy. Put some powder on your feet before throwing these shoes on. They are not breathable, but boots usually aren’t even if they say they are. Do not wear these boots with the inserts, trust me. They are also NOT waterproof by any means.
This is what I found makes them very comfy, takes some manipulation and trial and error, but they are NOT immediately comfortable, they need to be broken in. they are the closest thing to minimalist boots for work ive ever found, I’m a paramedic and work on my feet a lot. I’m a size 8 in women, and I ordered a 7 in men which would be a 8.5 in women and I could honestly use half a size bigger. I would repurchase these multiple times."

"I have many minimalist shoes, from vibrant five fingers to a custom pair of moccasins. These boots fill the middle ground quite well. Tall and secure like a boot, but no big arch or heel rise. My only complaint is the toe cap in the front. I wish it would be softer to give a more moles fit. But all in all, I’m extremely happy with them."

Great New Boots
"I purchased these after hearing about them in a podcast about running in minimalist shoes. I recently made that switch so these boots seemed to be right in progression with them. I have had them for about one month now. They take a little while to break in. Also, if you are not used to wearing minimalist footwear make sure you take your time breaking them in and getting used to them. They will definitely give your lower legs and feet a workout until you get used to them. So far, great boots though. My only complaints would be that they fit a little wide in the area of the inside arch and that they are a synthetic leather construction. Because of this, they shine up pretty nice, but parts of them have kind of a "cheap boot look". I'm hoping that goes away as they continue to break in."

Excellent for those who already wear minimalist footwear.
"I've had mine for going on 2 years now, and for the price they're fantastic! I had begun to notice that my feet were very sore at the end of my shifts with traditional boots, and this eliminated the problem entirely. If you already have experience with minimalist footwear, you know that your body needs to adjust to wearing it. You have to change the way you run/walk in order to avoid injury. After about a year I ended up putting sport inserts in them because the factory ones are cheap. However, I've stood on crime scenes for hours, completed day long training sessions with the added weight of a plate carrier (in the rain), and been in foot pursuits with far more comfort than I had with my old ones. They do OK in snow and standing water with the thin sole, but they aren't water proof... Definitely require about a week long break in period before they are totally comfortable as well - I noticed pressure at the ankles for a little bit, particularly when driving a car. They polish up super easily, and hold it pretty well (not real leather). So far no issues with punctures either (glass, needles, etc.).
The only issue I have noticed with these boots is that over time, the sole begins to peel off from removing them (especially when you have sweaty feet). Seems like they're just glued on, not sewn as well which is a little disappointing."

Amazing
"I got these boots over a year ago for Sea Cadets a navy program for teenagers I put them through many test before boot camp I went to Camp Dodge Iowa and these boots lasted through some really tough stuff they are great.."

Good shoe but....
"Highly recommend these. But I advise that you try them on if possible because they seem to run about half a size small. If you have a wide foot, def get the wide version.
Boots do require a break in period. Haven't tested these for long standing periods so I cannot comment on that."

Excellent Boot!
"I switched to low-offset shoes and boots a couple years ago and will never look back.
I wear the tan version while at drill for the Army so I've had these before. I didn't realize that they had them in black when I bought boots for on-duty wear. I had 5.11 Atacs and they barely lasted a year even with replacing the insole.
Onward to some real info! These boots are just plain comfortable. They envelope the foot and give good support for the ankle even though the upper is canvas. I would recommend getting good socks with these, any duty boot for that matter, because it just makes them more comfortable.
If you wear low-offset shoes off-duty then you owe it to yourself to to buy these for work."
