The UDT folding knife line was created in 1995, when it was originally available with rubber Kraton inlays and 3 different sizes. The prototype UDT models were later consolidated into a single size featuring a grooved, contoured aluminum handle with jimping along the top of the handle and spine of the blade. Thus the LUDT (Large Underwater Demolition Team) was born.
