The Kershaw Knockout Flipper Knife features a Sub-Frame Lock. It's this steel plate that moves behind the knife blade to lock it open safely and very securely.
The Knockout can maintain its fighting weight and still provide a strong frame lock. You get a knife that's big, yet light enough for EDC (Every day carry).The blade itself is a modified drop point made from high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel with a stonewashed finish. This unique feature gives the Knockout excellent corrosion resistance and hardenability. The finish provides extra protection against rust as well. The Knockout is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening for smooth and easy one-handed opening. Pull back on the built-in flipper or push on the thumbstud and the blade moves out of the handle quickly and easily. The Knockout also comes with our deep-carry pocketclip so the knife can sit all the way down in your pocket. Even better, the handle is drilled for 4-position carry.
