Terrible gear for the active patrolman

"I have used 5.11 gear over the years. I have found this vest comfortable while in the field. I am a member of a Search And Rescue Unit here in Idaho, and in need of lots of pockets to carry things. This Vest fits the bill. It is comfortable and balanced while having the pockets full. I would recommend it to anyone."

Great Product for the Price

"This is a great Summer vest. 5.11 has great quality merchandise that keeps me coming back. Sizing is a hit or miss based on the 5.11 chart. So, here's the data on myself and what the vest will function best with (IMHO). My data: 5'9 174lbs 44 chest 36 waist Average build I ordered the LG and had to send it back for an XLG. (Large) I was wearing a T-shirt and SS polo style shirt when I put the vest on and it was tight and that's without any gear in the vest. Also, the side button to tighten the side of the vest, were pointless because it was already tight. Plus, this vest is 35% cotton, so it will shrink just a little bit. Just enough for you to wish you had ordered up a size. (Extra Large) I put on this vest (with no gear inside it) while wearing a T-shirt and a long sleeve shirt. The XLG gave me enough room to eventually fill all the pockets with stuff and still have room to tighten the side straps and easy movement. Thanks"
