Common Plate Carrier Set Ups

Plate Carriers are an essential piece of gear for military personnel, law enforcement officials, and prepared civilians with loadouts that can be customized to fit a wide range of needs from overseas deployments to active shooters to training and conditioning.

The ever changing operating environment provides constant updates to tactics and gear and these plate carrier configurations only provide a general idea of gear needed for military, law enforcement or civilian use. Situation always dictates and tactics and gear can always be modified and improved.

Oriented towards military operations, this setup is built on the LAPG Atlas MOLLE Plate Carrier with front and back Level 4 Ballistic Armor Plates with AR500 Level 3+ Side Plates for maximum protection in combat. A Sentry Triple Rifle Magazine Pouch holds three AR style magazines in a slim profile that assists with laying in the prone and mounting/dismounting vehicles. The Condor LCS Tidepool Hydration Carrier provides 1.5 liters of water and extra storage for sustained combat operations. On the right hand side an Elite First Aid Gunshot Trauma Kit and a North American Rescue Combat Application Tourniquet are attached for individual and buddy medical aid. On the left hand side a Shellback Tactical Super Admin Pouch is attached to store night vision googles, multi-tools, maps, compass or any other items needed for the job.

When law enforcement officials require more protection in the line of duty this plate carrier configuration provides it. The LAPG Atlas MOLLE Plate Carrier with front and back Level 4 Ballistic Armor Plates can be donned over soft body armor and if needed side plates can be inserted into the built in pockets. For operating with a rifle, the High Speed Gear Double Decker Rifle & Pistol Magazine Pouch provides storage for three AR style magazines and three pistol magazines to augment duty belts. A North American Rescue TQ Holder with Combat Application Tourniquet is attached on the left hand side allowing right handed shooters to retain their duty weapon and still access their tourniquet. For any extra gear an Eleven 10 Medium General Purpose/ Admin Pouch is attached on the right hand side.

For training the 5.11 Tactical TacTec Plate Carrier can be used as a fully functional ballistic plate carrier with front and back Level 4 Ballistic Armor Plates. For conditioning it can be used as a weighted fitness vest with Rogue Weight Vest Plates. A Sentry Triple Rifle Magazine Pouch is attached to hold three AR style magazines for combat marksmanship days at the rifle range. In case of emergency or first aid training a Sentry Slim-Line Single Tourniquet Pouch is attached on the left hand side allowing right handed shooters access to it while staying on the trigger.
