    The Cold Steel Koga SD1 was built to function as a leverage aid when restraining an individual or obtaining joint locks or submission holds. Made from high-impact polymer the Koga also serves as an “intermediate impact tool” where a fist may not be enough but a baton would be too much. The Koga magnifies the impact of hand blows while minimizing the likelihood of permanent injury.

    An icon in the self defense and LEO community, the late Bob Koga was an Air Force vet and LAPD officer with a background in Judo, wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, Jo Do, and Aikido and became a proponent of the merits of the straight baton over the PR24 or side handle baton.
