The ASP Products Tri-Fold Training Restraints are identical to the standard restraints but are designed to be released and removed without cutting. This speeds the pace of instruction, enhances safety, and eliminates the waste of using and disposing of "live" restraints. The straps fold in three places for ultra-compact storage on a belt or vest. The tri-fold straps are extra-wide, with smooth edges for safety, and run through a fully-enclosed ratchet block with a shim guard to prevent picking. Tightening the restraint is quick and positive, using either the included molded pull ring or optional, extra-long pull cord. Once tightened, squeezing the secondary compression lock buttons provide additional security. When deployed, they provide wide open loops for fast and easy application.
The latest generation of Tri-Folds incorporate a new polymer formulation-perfected after over a hundred prototypes-that won't dry out or get brittle, giving them increased strength and longer storage life. They're perfect for crowd control, military use, aviation security and other situations where traditional handcuffs aren't practical or desirable.
