Side Trip Briefcase

"Absolutely love this bag. Very roomy and holds everything I need it to."

Great Briefcase

"Outstanding Piece of Gear! Spacious & Tough. After more than 10 years of dedicated, daily service... use/abuse, this 5.11 briefcase is being retired; a few of the zippers have given up the ghost. The overall construction mirrors other 5.11 products; durable and reliable beyond expectations. The pockets and compartments had ample space for a variety of laptops (carried three different makes/weights/sizes), field office supplies and a litany other items (recording equipment, mags, pens, pads, Sharpies, phone chargers, etc. etc.). It weathered being tossed in the vehicle in rush @ 0300 and pulled from the trunk @ 2300 packed full of case files; never losing shape or functionality."

Smart design / Tough quality

"A lighter and minimal plate carrier. Doesn??t include side panels but the elastic straps are easy to adjust and provide a good fit. MOLLE top to bottom, top half has Velcro for patches, bottom does not. Padding is very comfortable and makes vest breathable. Releasable pull strap on the rear between the shoulders so a buddy can easily drag you if needed. I use this vest primarily for running and CrossFit. Secures Rogue Fitness plates very well with interior vertical and horizontal Velcro straps. So far I??ve ran a couple of miles with it, definitely adds noticeable resistance. Weight is distributed very nicely, feels very stream line and natural on the torso. Minimal vest movement during work outs while maintaining good range of motion."

Q&A

Are the zippers lockable using those small TSA locks?
From their pictures, it looks like you should be able to.
What are the outside dimensions of the 5.11 Tactical Side Trip Briefcase Bag 56003?
This 5.11 Briefcase Bag measures approximately 21.5"(W) x 13"(T) x 7.5"(W).
What is the country of origin? Or, where was the bag made from?
This bag is made over seas in china.
Will this briefcase fit under the seat on the airlines?
Customers have reported using this for travel however, different airlines have different under-the-seat dimensions. The outer dimensions of this bag are 21.5"(W) x 13"(T) x 7.5"(W) so we recommend checking with the airline you're using to make sure this bag will fit.
Will this bag hold a 17" laptop computer?
I went ahead and took a diagonal measurement of the interior of the main compartment where i would expect that you would want to carry the laptop. The diagonal measurement came to about 18" so what you will want to do is measure your laptop diagonally from corner to corner and if it comes to 18" or less, than it should fit. Otherwise it will be too big for this bag.
