Great light and IR laser combo

"Picked one up during a sale for a back up gun, took it to a night vision class and it became my favorite, Laser stays on zero with no problem, light is easy to use with basic training and time using. Well built, great price at LAPG."

Best Value IR Laser/Illuminator

"Title says it all, by far the best IR laser and illuminator on the market. White light is a bonus too."

I’m new to NV and

"I’m new to NV and bought a PVS-14 and naturally needed an IR laser/light combo. After doing a bunch of research, the TLR-VIR seemed to be a solid yet economical path. I’ve played with it for a couple weeks and I’m very impressed with it so far. I haven’t done any shooting with it, but it will throw a laser at least 300 yards, if not more. The IR illuminator is good for 0-50 yard range or so and the 300 lumen white light is plenty for indoors or shorter outdoor ranges. The lockout switch is perfect too. So far I’m very happy with it. The only ding I can give it is the difficulty of the battery latch and the fact that you have to remove it to change the battery and the fact the laser and IR light can’t be independently activated. Those are minor dings. This unit is awesome and LAPG quick quick service as always."

Economical ir device

"I purchased this as an interim ir laser while I wait for my mawl to arrive. This is a great little unit. I can easily spot the dot at 400yds with nods on. I’ve been using it on the 12 o’clock position in my rails (in front of my front sight) and the ease of switching from white to ir is great in that position. The illuminator is good out to about 50yds or so. I’m really happy with this purchase, especially for the price."

TLR V IR 2

"I have several units mounted on Glock 17s and a .300AAC carbine, as well as select fire 9mm submachine gun. Mounting is straight forward. White light throws a useable beam for close to intermediate distance in openg and closed air environments. IR laser is more than plenty powerful for handgun use and has proven plenty workable to 150 plus yards on a carbine. IR illumination is just enough to light up vehicle interiors from several vehicle lengths away and will penetrate shadow well enough at 50 yards plus to locate targets. Would prefer to have battery access without removal from weapon, however it does seem to maintain zero when removed/reinstalled. would like to see a pressure switch cap as well as a pistol pressure switch as is available for the standard TLRs. If your mission requires an IR laser/white light for CQB in structures as well as inside 100 yds outdoors this will get the job done."

"This thing is stellar for the price"

Great!

"I have purchased two VIR-II for my primary rifle and pistol. The IR led flashlight glows red and is very good for short distance. The IR LASER is visible (with NVGs) at 100 to 200yds. The white light is still bright enough to blind and identify personal at night. The 2 biggest selling point is that it has the same profile of the TRL series and it has a MASTER on off switch."

Keep that Holster!

"I purchased this hopeful that the performance would be decent because I wanted something compatible with all my existing holsters. What I found was that this light actually performs far better than I expected. The infrared light and laser are visible out to at least 200 yards. The IR light itself has more of a flood pattern that would be suitable for closer ranges. While this light does not have tremendous visible light output it is well worth the price for the infrared light and laser. This light is a great alternative to the surefire vampire. To top it all off you can keep your existing holsters that fit the TLR1 profile."

— Mike B. (5/5)

Wow!

"For such a small and compact package that mimics a standard go to pistol light this thing is awesome. Laser can be picked up 150 yards much further than the IR light can can throw. Great for pistols, shotties, PPCs or a rifle for close in work. Nothing compares for price. The SF vampire is similarly priced but no aiming laser bigger package. There is a small visible glow when IR is powered up its not much but there."
