"Just bought a SL-20 from LAPG. The price with the discount I received was a price I paid for this type light around 20 years ago. Over the years I probably bought six of this type. I use them for my own use but also have gave them as gifts to family members. The light is second to none. Gives a bright white light and has Long battery life. The first stream light I owned was bought around 1980. I still have that light but my charger stopped working and over the years the design was changed. I could not find a charger so bought a new one which is now about 20 years old and going strong. Stream light makes some excellent small USB charging lights also. Last year I received one from a friend at Christmas. I would recommend stream light to anyone looking for a brilliant hand held light."

BETTER THAN I REMEMBER

"Started using SL 20 in the early 80's for patrol, was using dept issued Mag Light. The Streamlight out performed the Mag Light. The New LED version is awesome, I live in a rural area with no street lights and few residents. This light will light up a room and light up the intersection approx. 700' away."

"When I first began my career on grave shift I was using the SL 20. I liked the durability of the light and if a part did fail, it was easily replaced. When Streamlight first tried the LED technology I wasn't very impressed with that product. Since I picked up this light, I've enjoyed having a heavier duty light with the new LED technology."

Are both battery options compatible with the same charger?
Hello, I'm sorry, but I don't understand the question. The AC charger is the part that charges into a wall outlet. The DC charger is the part that charges in a car like cigarette lighter. These are different power cords to operate in the different methods, but the sleeve is the same regardless of cords used. It's like when charging a phone, you can use the USB or you can use the wall part. There are 2 different cord types.
