Rothco's Soft Shell Tactical Jackets are constructed with a breathable moisture wicking fabric and feature a 100% waterproof polyester shell. The 3-layer construction deflects wind, wicks away moisture and retains body heat. While the jacket was designed for people in the field, this versatile jacket can be seen from the street to the slopes and is great for embroidery. The Spec Ops Soft Shell Tactical Jacket has a stand up collar with a concealed detachable hood. The collar has a zipper pouch to hold the hood when not in use.

    "The quality of this jacket is nice. This is not a winter jacket. It can be worn in 32 degree weather but not ideal for all-day, sub-30 degree weather. I have the large size, and it is larger than a Columbia-brand men's large. This is ideal if you are wear in layers, wear a bulletproof vest, or carry with a shoulder holster (or OWB holster). Kind of feels baggy if you just have a t-shirt underneath. If you keep the hood in the collar, it stiffens the collar so it stays up on its own. The front pocket openings are rather high unlike regular jackets. It looks rather non-descript without exterior brand logo anywhere, which I like."

    "I wear this daily through spring, summer and fall to work. I got the size large and it is comparable to other men's size large jackets and has enough upper-body space for a hip holster or shoulder holster. I don't use this for special ops. But it has held up to daily wear and some machine washings. No issues."

    "Owned many a jacket,donated 6 to get this one,mama said so.Retired LEO,this jacket is perfect for cold weather,windy etc lightweight.But the great thing about this jacket is concealability,you carry a weapon,gun knife,baton cuffs etc. you can hide it anywhere in this jacket.6 zippered pockets no waiting,4 inside pouches what more a man ask for."

    "The Rothco Special Ops Jacket seems to be everything that it advertised to be. It seems to be sturdy and will hold up to the demands requirements of my job. Nevertheless, I live in Texas and it is not cold yet so I have not worn it beyond just trying it on. I feel it will be okay, if not I will let you know."

    "I am 5'11 200 pounds. I have this jacket in an XL and L. The Large fits perfect if I am wearing just the jacket. The XL fits perfect with a heavy fleece under it, with a fleece layer this jacket is great for very cold weather. I live in SE Michigan. I have washed it several times and it does not shrink."
