LAPG Men's Atlas Tactical Pants

The LA Police Gear Atlas Tactical Pant is one of the most technical pants we've ever made. We spared no expense on these pants, and packed in every feature you could need. The result is an extraordinarily comfortable pant, a low profile appearance, and the durability you'd expect in a pant 3 times the price.

One of the primary features of this pant that makes it so comfortable is the Stretch Tech System. This system incorporates stretch panels in key areas so your movement is free and unrestricted. There is one large stretch panel across the whole crotch and seat of the pant, as well as a stretch panel for the rear yoke of the pant. So whether you wear these while kneeling down at the range, performing a tactical somersault, working on your car, in your yard, or just around your house, you'll be comfortable and have freedom of movement. The main fabric used besides the stretch panels is a tough 65% poly/35% cotton Rip-Stop fabric.

To improve durability, we have added bar tacks and reinforced stitching in typical areas of stress. The heel areas have double fabric for durability, the knees are articulating and reinforced, and the front pockets have double fabric for where you clip your knife/pen/light/tool. All of the hardware is high end - smooth YKK zippers and our bullet proof (not literally) brass tac-stud closure.

The LAPG Atlas Pant is loaded with 10 pockets + 2 internal knee pad pockets. This pant has rear slip pockets, angled traditional front pockets perfect for clipping things, two front slip pockets great for magazines or cell phones, two knife/tool/light pockets on the outside of the cargo pockets, and the two cargo pockets themselves. The two cargo pockets have a lay flat bellow design to stay low profile when not in use, zipper closures with long pulls for easy access with gloves, and also feature internal organization that are great for mags or anything else you can think of. The internal knee pad pockets are sized to fit any traditional neoprene knee pads.

"One of my personal requirements for pants as a helicopter pilot specifically is zipper cargo pockets. These pants feature that, plus some, maybe too much. I cut out the D-rings in the cargo pockets and will most likely be cutting out the knee pad pockets. These pants in regular size fit way better than the BFE pants. Not exactly lightweight, but I am currently wearing them in the Arizona heat without much complaint. Overall these are great pants and I have 5 pairs now."

One down side to them is that they become ripped right under the zipper then there is a small hole and eventually get bigger. "I love the fit and feel of these and there are plenty of pockets. I noticed the "regular" cut runs just a little bit smaller in size than the "slim" cut, so be aware of that when ordering. I had to size up one on the regulars over the slims I picked out. Not a big deal but worth calling out."

The color boulder is discontinued in these pants?
At the moment we do not have any PO's for them. It could come back a ways down the road, but not at the moment.
Do you still get the same space in the thigh area in the slims that you get in the regular?
Great question. They are going to be slightly slimmer in the thigh area.
What is the difference in pant leg opening size for a 38waist 30inseam for regular and slim?
The diameter of ankle opening of the slim is about 1.5" smaller than the regular.
What is the leg opening measurement for the 36w Slim fit?
The width of the pant leg opening of a 36 waist x 34 inseam, in slim, is about 8"

The Atlas Slim fit are slightly more form fitting for those who are more comfortable with less room between their legs and the material.
Are you ever going to offer the slim fit in more color options like Khaki, Sierra, or Multicam?

What is the difference between regular and slim fit?
Hi Daryl. Slim fit will be a little tighter in some areas, making them more form fitting than regular fit pants.
What pants are overall more flexible? Atlas or Battle Rattle. Is the poly/cotton flexible or just the panels? I have the EMS flex pants, they don’t have enough stretch, do these other pants have more flexibility overall?
Great question. The EMS, Atlas and Battle Rattle pants will have fairly similar flexibility. The rip stop material in the Atlas and Battle Rattle are typically meant more for durability.
Is it easy to have these altered at a tailor to bring in the legs for the skinny folks? I know I should eat more and show up to leg day but oh well...

I like a beltloop at 3 and 9 o'clock positions to support an off-duty holster. From what I see in the pictures, it looks like loops are either forward or rear of that position. Is that true?
We just added additional belt loops at about the 3 and 9 o'clock spots.
Why do some of these have 7 belt loops and others only 5? I just got 5 pr and it's a mixed bag. Also, not a question, but a critique, the knee pad pockets need serious reworking. The cotton "sheath/pocket" you put them in only fit flimsy thin pads. It would be great if there was velcro across one the ends so you could use thicker formed pads inside.

Got a pair of these pants, so stupid question How does the knee pads stay in. Install from the bottom and nothing to hold them there, So I am confused
Hello! Not a stupid question at all. When inserting the knee pockets, do not insert them in the space between the white pocket and pant. The white pocket has a small opening; fold the knee pad to slide into the white pocket, then unfold and move into position. The white pocket has enough space closed to keep these in place.

Hello, Since we offer our pants in so many options for colors and sizes, it takes us a while to restock multiple hundreds of each color and size combination available. We order between 500-1000 pants per available combination and unfortunately sometimes those hundreds of thousands of pants take time to be created. The current ETA for backorders of the Atlas Pants is end of May / early June delivery, then we do quality control checks. Look for available sizes this coming June.
These Atlas pants are great. I used to wear the Urban Ops and these are a great improvement. I love the two front pockets and should be standard on all pants from now on. They also made the urban ops in cargo shorts and want to get these Atlas pants in a shorts for summer wear too. Are there plans to make Atlas shorts? They would sell like hotcakes. Also I would recomend making a version of these pants and shorts without ina non-cargo pocket option too. The material and cut is great and the cargo pockets are not always needed. But dont leave out those two front slit pockets - great for phones and extra magazines!!

Hello, These are Teflon coated and should repel water. This coating also aids the pants in drying quicker if they are exposed to a lot of water.
