Unusable upon removal from package

"I'm not sure if I got a lemon or bad batch, however I had received mine today and opened the package about ten minutes before I'm writing this. When I attempted to unbutton the lid, the piece of the button that secures the lid to the body broke from the lid and remained on the body after using a considerably normal amount of force to open the lid. Now the lid cannot be secured, rendering this item unusable for me. Might be a quality control issue, but removing it just once should not be the point it completely breaks. My other LAPG items are satisfactory, however I am quite displeased with this one. Went from in the package to unusable within two minutes."

Can you advise if this will work with a Sabre Red mkIII size can?
This item fits canisters with a 1.5" diameter. I believe the Sabre MK-3 is what you are referring to, and that has the same diameter.
