Preparation could not be simpler, just add two cups of boiling water directly to the pouch, stir, and let set for ten minutes.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: PREPARING 1 CUP DRY MIX: 1.) Remove oxygen absorber from contents and discard, 2.) Thoroughly mix contents, 3.) Add 2 cup (480mL) of boiling water to 1 cup of dry ingredients, 4.) Stir well, fully submerging ingredients, 5.) Cover and let sit for 13 minutes 6.) Stir and serve PREPARING THE ENTIRE CAN 1.) Remove oxygen absorber from contents and discard 2.) Thoroughly mix contents 3.) Add 21 1/2 cups (5L) of boiling water to dry ingredients 4.) Follow steps 4 through 6 above PLEASE NOTE: Check the can before consumption to ensure there are no punctures. Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet.
STORAGE & HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS: The following storage instructions will ensure the maximum shelf life of this Backpacker's Pantry product. **DO NOT OPEN CAN UNTIL READY TO SERVE** Once the can is open, contents should be consumed within seven days. In between consumption, reclose the can with the plastic lid provided. Store at room temperature (70°F) or below. The lower the temperature of storage, the longer the shelf life will be. Temperatures of freezing or lower (ËÂœ32°F) should be avoided as it may affect the integrity of the can. Cans should be stored OFF the floor in a dry, well ventilated area. Best By Date on packaging is 10 years from manufacturing date.
