Solid

"More sturdy than I thought it’d be for the price, whacked a few boxes and some pallets with it and it took some chunks out of them. It’s weighty, seems well built. And the nylon sheath is nice."

Outstanding Quality and Performance – Built Like You’d Expect from S&W

"I’ve been extremely impressed with the Smith & Wesson baton. The 4130 seamless alloy steel construction feels solid and confidence-inspiring without being overly heavy, and the HRD46-47 hardness really shows in how rigid and durable the baton feels when deployed. Extension is smooth and reliable, and it locks up tight with no unwanted flex or rattle. The thermoplastic polyester elastomer handle provides excellent grip — even with gloves or in less-than-ideal conditions — and the basketweave texture gives it a professional, duty-ready feel. The included hard case sheath is another plus, offering secure retention while still allowing quick access when needed. Overall, this baton delivers a great balance of strength, ergonomics, and build quality. If you’re looking for a well-made, dependable option from a trusted brand, this is a strong choice. As always, make sure to check your local laws before purchasing or carrying, but from a quality and performance standpoint, this product absolutely earns a five-star recommendation."

excellent baton for the price,

"excellent baton for the price, a better defensive weapon than a blade due to reach. Comes with a basic holster that still offers secure retention."

— Geral D. (5/5)

I was questioning the quality

"I was questioning the quality based on the price, but this thing is solid. I went with the 16" and it is plenty long enough, yet small enough to carry on your belt without digging in your hip. best baton for the money. quick deployment, and if someone gets hit with this, then its a bad day for them. not crazy abouth the sheath. would prefer one with a belt loop at the very top of it so it sits lower on your hip."
