The Smith & Wesson baton series are constructed of 4130 seamless alloy steel tubing with a hardness of HRD46-47. The handle grip is made of thermoplastic polyester elastomer with a basketweave pattern for excellent grip in all conditions. Available in 16 inch, 21 inch, 24 inch and 26 inch overall open lengths. Comes complete with a black denier hard case sheath.

I was questioning the quality

"I was questioning the quality based on the price, but this thing is solid. I went with the 16" and it is plenty long enough, yet small enough to carry on your belt without digging in your hip. best baton for the money. quick deployment, and if someone gets hit with this, then its a bad day for them. not crazy abouth the sheath. would prefer one with a belt loop at the very top of it so it sits lower on your hip."
