The Safariland 6005 SLS tactical drop-leg holster is purpose-built and features the SLS (Self Locking System) rotating hood retention. With no snap, the SLS allows for a smoother, single-motion draw, and greater protection against attempted weapon takeaways. The SLS tactical holster is also far less likely to release accidentally than those with conventional thumb break snaps.

The hood can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward. When upward force is applied, the holster becomes even more secure. A Hood Guard further protects against attempted takeaways.

The holster is made from durable thermoformed SafariLaminate material that protects against scrapes, scratches and dents. To protect the gun's sights and finish, the interior is lined with suede and features a molded sight track. The 6005 employs a quick-release leg strap.
