Better than Bates
"I have been buying boots from LAPG for years. I used to buy the HiTech water proof Magnum model (model I used to buy no longer made). I branched out and tried several of the Bates offering and found I did not like them at all. I am a former cop and have worn a lot of Bates foot wear. LAPG had a killed sale on these Rebook boots so I bought two pair (just in case they sold out, and they did). I had to adjust the insert as it seemed to have come loose in transit. Once on I was shocked! These boots might be better than the Hitech Magnums I have worn for years, definitely better than any Bates boots I have worn. They fit snug on the ankles for great support, but not cut your circulation off tight. It may sound crazy but these feel like I am wearing a sneaker, shocking as Reebok is known for sneakers right. I do not even notice these boots have a hard toe protection in them. The boots have great traction and are stealth quiet on most surfaces (unless they get wet, then squeak city). Have worn these for 10 hours a day for the first week, no issues or foot pain breaking them in. As for fit, spot on to the Reebok chart at their web site. Measure my foot, picked size on chart and they fit like a glove. The only issue I have is I only bought two pair. Wished I would have just bought four so I could have spares for a few years. If these come back in stock I highly recommend getting a pair."
