Not getting what you think you are getting.

"This product info says it will feed one adult 3 servings per day for 4 weeks. That's 28 days. 28 days x 2,000 calories per day = 56,000 calories needed. This bucket contain 9,440 calories total. It doesn't take a PhD in advanced mathematics to see 9400 calories is somewhat short of 56,000. 2,000 calories is considered by various authorities to be a baseline caloric need. Of course how many actual calories you really need is based on your sex, age, height, body weight and your daily physical activity level. As a comparison, MREs run between 3500 to 4000 calories per day if you eat everything in the daily ration box. Young men in combat need more calories than your 85 y.o. Aunt Bessie who is barely 5 feet and doesn't break 100 pounds fully dressed and soaking wet whose physical activity consists of getting dressed and walking out to the kitchen to fix her meals and watch television all day. However, I can assure you that if Aunt Bessie relies on this bucket to last her a month she is going to be quite "hangry" by the end of the month if she makes it that far. 338 calories a day just isn't going to cut it for anyone. I have read that the typical caloric intake for the "guests" at Auschwitz was 1200 calories a day and we all know how well that worked out for them. There is nothing wrong with buying a bucket that contains 9440 calories as long as you understand what you are buying. I don't know what you think you are buying when the advertising says "3 servings per day for 1 adult for 4 weeks," but if you think you are getting all the calories that you need for 4 weeks, you are sadly mistaken. An officer of the Wise Company said in a letter that these are only intended as a supplement to your food needs. You are supposed to supplement these with add-ons, bread, beverage, desert and REAL FOOD (I added the "REAL FOOD"). In addition, the only items that I see that might have protein are the stroganoff, the creamy pasta and the mac and cheese. And that is only if the cream sauce is based on a milk product. Chicken flavored means chicken extract, don't expect any chunks of meat in the chicken noodle soup. If there were real chicken in the chicken "flavored" noodle soup, it would say "chicken noodle soup." My standard joke for "chicken flavored" is: They wash a chicken in a large pot of water and then use that water as soup base so that makes it "chicken flavored." LAPG: I am confident that you used the description furnished to you by Wise Company. However, as an ethical company, I think you need to be apprised of what you are offering to your customers. I have limited my criticism to just the 84 "serving" bucket, but I am confident that the same criticism applies to the other Wise products. Whoever winds up reviewing this should really bring it to the attention of management. I haven't actually tried the Wise Products that I have purchased but I am confident that none of the reviews are dishonest. I am confident that the folks who have tried the product really think they are getting a good product. But I think they were misled by the copy accompanying the product. Wise used to call these "meals". They no longer do that. They are very careful to call them "servings." but the inference I get from the copy and I am sure it is the same inference the other purchasers got was that it was a meal. By the way, I didn't buy my Wise purchase from you folks. I bought it some time ago from another vendor. To reach the 2000 calorie a day mark you need to average 700 calorie intake 3 times a day. Even so, 2000 calories a day might not cover your energy consumption if you are chopping wood, hauling water, dodging zombies or bugging out carrying a 50 pound pack."
