Wicked Good Boots
"I bought these after I had the Kevlar/composite toe model. Those lasted about 20months, which is a record for me. The soles still have life in them but the stitching is going in a few spots. I am on my feet all the time and often work long days. I also wear them in the woods, in the snow, on my motorcycle, etc. I ended up buying these because my shifter on my bike kept catching on the leather where it meets the kevlar and the soles were really loud on hard surfaces. Also, the soles were a bit slick on smooth surfaces or when it got wicked cold. These boots have been great so far. The soles are quieter and shifting seems OK. I walked through a 6 deep puddle that was about 40' long the other day and my feet stayed dry. They are USA Made which I very much prefer. My only complaint (minor) is that I wish they made this model without the Met-guard. I don't need it for work and I feel it sometimes when I have to flex my foot."
