The Bianchi 2.25" ErgoTek Loop Lined Duty Belt features a 4-part laminate construction for firmness and holster support with ergonomic load support cushions on the inside of the belt to help distribute weight evenly over the entire waist for comfort during all-day wear. This duty belt has a CopLok shatter-resistant polymer buckle with a 3-point release for added security. The featured Duraskin exterior with loop lining can be used with the Bianchi 7205 Liner Belt.

I wear 36 pants. Should I get a 36 duty belt or go to 38
For this belt, you would want to order the size 36. The size 36 will be good for sizes 36 - 38 so there will be a little extra room if you need it. If you get the 38 - 40 belt, it will be too big.
Is this the type of belt that you need keepers? I prefer to wear keepers but this belt looks thick due to the nice padding inside.

How does the placement of gear...i.e. Cuff holder, radio, holster, etc work with the padding of belt?
I don't believe the padding is substantial enough to affect the fitting of gear, but i'll check with customers that have already purchased this item to see if they have any feedback for you.
