The 5.11 Tactical TacTec Plate Carrier was designed to stand up to the most demanding situations while remaining mobile and lightweight. This plate carrier can be used as a fully functional ballistic plate carrier or as a weighted fitness vest. Built with rugged, lightweight 500D nylon, it features padded yoke shoulder straps, perforated mesh, front and back padded panels with built-in airflow channels, and an innovative design for maximum range of motion. It holds two ballistic armor plates (Medium/Large), includes a low-profile Grab-Drag handle, and a single-handed quick-release cable escape system. Functional, buy uncomfortable

"I specifically bought the 5. 11 PC as it advertised as accepting L/XL plates. I also ordered two LAPG rifle plates in 11x14 as well. When I came time install the plates, it was a bit tighter than "accepts". I eventually got them in after about an hour and they don't actually fit properly, but they hold just barely with zero (may be being too generous) room left over. I ended up buying an Agilite PC and some 10x12s so the 5. 11 with the XLs is not just an extra, good in a pinch and great for working out in. Probably not going to build it out for other purposes due to my issues with it. Ordering and shipping from LAPG was great! I recommend them and will continue to shop here."

"I'm a built man. 6'2" 205 but mostly muscle. I have trouble finding stuff that fits me well in 2019 and plate carriers are no exception. This plate carrier is so comfortable compared to anything I've had in the past. Is the 5.11 tactical tactec plate carrier 56100 made in the USA: This 5.11 Tactical Carrier is not made in the US.
Is this plate carrier adjustable to the size of the operator?: The side webbing of this 5.11 Plate Carrier have elastic in them so they are able to stretch to the size of the wearer.
Is there Velcro on the front and back of this? If not, what can I order so that "POLICE" is displayed on the front and back?: we have several different police patches. Please just search police patch on our site and many options will be brought up. as well yes there is Velcro on the front and back.
Will this carrier accept a rear 10x12 SQUARE CUT plate (actually more like 11.5x9.5)?: Here are the measurements to what plate sizes will fit: Medium � 12.5�H x 9.5�L x 2�W (plate is 24mm in thickness, 2� overall width accounts for the plates curvature) Larger � 13.25� x 10.25� x 2.25� (plate is 24mm in thickness, 2.25� overall width accounts for the plates curvature
Would this work with my duty belt?: as long as the plate carrier is adjusted to the right height it should work just fine.
Are there side pouches for side armor plates?: This 5.11 TacTec Plate Carrier does not have side plate carriers.
2 Questions: First off when is the Storm colouring going to be available and how close of a grey is it to the 5.11 Stryke pants charcoal grey. And do you know when or if the multicam version of this is coming out.: we are hoping to start receiving this color this month and it is a very light grey.
I'm 5'6 140 lbs. what size should I wear?: This 5.11 Vest is only available in one size.
5.11 was supposed to release a multicam version of this in the fall after it's debut, did they ever do that?: Good question, Based on what I can see they have not made one yet and unfortunately at this point if they are going to do one it will probably be released after the new year.
What is the difference between the 5.11 Tactical TacTec Plate Carrier and the 5.11 Tactical TacTec Plate Carrier Xl? If there is a difference in size, please provide difference in dimensions.: Looks like the XL comes with an Extended waistband to help with bigger sizes. Unfortunately 5.11 does not list dimensions on the sizing.

Will this carrier fit 11X14 plates?: No we are showing that this plate carrier will only except plates up to 10x13 at max.
Does it come with armor plates? Or do I have to purchase them separately. If it comes with plates... how are the plates rated? they are good against what kind of ammo.. etc? Also I am 6'2" and kind of slender build.. will it work for my size?: This item does not come with plates. plates would have to be purchased separately for this item.
Will this hold soft armor plates?: no this will not work with soft Armour. this is designed to work only with plates.

What plate would fit better in this carrier, does a swimmer/ shooter or a regular sapi plate work best? thanks for your time.: a shooters plate will do just fine in this carrier.
Will 10x12 level 3 plates fit: Yes, a 10 x 12 plate will fit in this 5.11 Plate Carrier.
Im of a larger stature, XXL how would this fit?: this item is fully adjustable and should adjust to fit you just fine. if the item does not fit though it does qualify for free return shipping so there is no risk to you if you receive it and do not like it.
Can this item be customized with department name?: This carrier has spots front and back for patches. As for taking this in to be embroidered on, we have not seen this. You'll want to contact your local embroidered company to see if they can embroider on 500D Nylon
Is this plate carrier available in multicam?: no this item does not come in multicam at this time.
