The pocket configuration has been optimized to let you access the gear you need quickly, and the brass locking YKK zipper and metal tac-stud have been put through the wringer to make sure they won't fail you.

These Men's Urban Ops Tactical Pants are constructed from a lightweight yet resilient 65% polyester and 35% cotton rip-stop fabric. An elastic waistband is included so you're as comfortable as possible all day. The articulating knees and gusseted crotch make these pants a great choice when you're always on the move.

Great pants

"Currently using these pants for callout status as an LEO sniper. I wore these for some days of our training this spring, they performed great. Hot days sprinting and diving into grass and rock, getting on the gun several times, and lots of traveling. Couldn't ask for much, minus maybe some hip zippers to let excess heat out, but that typically stays more into the hunting world."

Unfortunately I was very disappointed

"Recently, I purchased a pair of tactical pants. I was looking forward to receiving the pants with great anticipation. Upon putting them on, I was shocked with respect to the massive amount of excess material that ran from the knee area down to the bottom of the pant legs. There was absolutely NO slimming or tapering of the pant leg and the look of the pants was dreadful. I took the pants to a tailor and was told that the amount of work required and cost to make the pants look presentable would exceed the price I paid for the pants. So, so disappointed. So, its back to 511."

Issues with discount code

"When I purchased these pants i tired to use a discount code of Q1BS-5QOA-AXKI but the system would not accept the code. I called and spoke with customer service and was instructed to put a comment in my on-line order and that the discount would be applied manually by someone. . . . . However that discount was never applied to my order and I was charged the full amount. If you would review my original order you will see a comment in the on-line order explaining the issue. I would like to receive the 20% discount. . . . not the 10% discount that came with the pants."

Brett B. (1/5)

Quality product

"These wear just as comfortably as the previous pants I bought before. Nice the same quality has been kept."

Tracy R. (5/5)

Pants

"Awesome fit"

Jonathon C. (5/5)

Product seems worthy for wear

"Pants came as advertised with prompt delivery. I wear pants between 38 and 40 but ordered a 42 on a hunch that they may run small. What's a belt for anyways? They fit as if they were 3" smaller than tag. Don't get me wrong, they fit, but not to tag."

James O. (4/5)

Met all expectations

"Met all expectations of quality and fit. This is my third purchase of these pants and I am very much in all of the quality."

James M. (5/5)

Great pants

"Excellent!!"

Bill C. (5/5)

Runs bigger than I expected.

"I'm tall build, long legs short torso. I ordered using my normal jeans size but these pants run quite big for me. I never miss with BDU sizing but it's always trial and error with standard sizing. That's why the make belts and boot bands. Got 3 pairs wore one so far, very light and comfortable all day wear."

Q&A

Are they comfortable for work .I work with hot glass.
They are very comfortable and versatile
Do you offer a lined/ insulated urban ops tactical pant ?
Hi Mike, We don't at the moment, but maybe down the road!
Looking for a tactical pant that is a slimmer fit. Are these pants baggy like typical BDUs or more of fitted cut?
These would be a little more fitting than the BDU's.
I purchased quite a few pairs of these but the ones I just got are made in China and are cut very small. Have you changed vendors and do I need to order a size up now?
Sorry to hear that Steven. Would order to your size. If you notice they are slightly off, we are more than happy to accept it back as an exchange for a slightly different size.
Will you ever have 28 waist again?I have several wore out pair I’d like to replace but you don’t carry my size I guess.
We have currently move that size to closeouts for the time being. They can be found here: https://lapolicegear.com/lapg-urban-ops-tactical-pants-closeout.html
What is the "Cargo Pockets w/LAPG pass through"?
Hello, On the side pockets there is a little opening on the top, where you can quickly access or put things in your pocket with out opening the actual pocket.
Do these pants have blousing straps/strings at the ankle? Thanks
No, they do not have blousing straps.
What is the length on the unhemmed?
The length of the unhemmed is 49.5 inches
My waist size is 38, but I have a huge ass. I normally have to order pants larger in the waist to accommodate this. Is this the case for your pants
These have some room, but if you've experienced in the past that you needed to order up a size, we would suggest the same thing. Unfortunately I don't have a measurement for that area for you to compare sizing.
Is that embroidered logo shown in some of the pictures actually on the pants? Because that's a deal killer for me.
Hello, The images with the logo you are referring to are out dated and we are working with a new photographer to update our images. We no longer have our logo embroidered on these pants. The cross hair logo is on the button fly and a small LAPG tag is on the waistband beneath the belt seam. The LAPG tag is on the back right side, approximately 2 centimeters high and less than an inch long. This tag can easily be cut / removed, but would more than likely be hidden under a duty belt, if worn.
Currently ware 511 tactical cargo pants. Very heavy weight looking for the same pants..look and feel of those pants only summer Weight?. Your thoughts please
Hello! If you want to stick with 5.11's I'd say their Taclite Pro Pants, item # 74273 : https://lapolicegear.com/511-tactical-tac-lite-pro-pants.html If you'd like to explore our LAPG brand pants for a less expensive alternative, we recommend our Operator Tactical Pants with lower leg pocket or our Core Cargo pants because they are the lightest weight pants we manufacture. Check them out! Operator Pants: https://lapolicegear.com/elastic-waist-operator-pant.html Core Cargo: https://lapolicegear.com/lapg-pt-btp9001-core-cargo.html
how do you measure for waist and length for the mens Urban Ops pants?
I'm sorry, I don't understand. Waist is the waist measurement around the belly button area, length is the inseam (crotch to hem)
how do you suggest for measuring for length for the mens Urbans Ops pants?
the length is the inseam - crotch to hem.
Are these pants shrink after several washings
Hello, These should not shrink after washing. We do recommend using warm / cool water as opposed to HOT to ensure there is no shrinking.
Which pant is a “tighter” fit between this pant and the Atlas? Not tight as in skinny jeans bs, as I have to order jeans at least a size or 2 bigger to accommodate my legs and butt. I just don’t like extra material where I don’t need it. Lastly do these pants have a water resistant coating on them? Any other pant to look at that accept knee pads? Thank you.
Hello, We would recommend the Urban Ops over the Atlas pants based on the stretch panel on the seat of the Atlas pants. It seems as though that might be a feature you wouldn't prefer due to a potential excess. Note, the Atlas pants are treated with Teflon to help repel water and dry quicker. The Urban Ops do not have this treatment. For the knee pads, the Atlas pants accept these and right now that's the only pair. Our Brand Manager is in works to get more options that fit kneepads, but those don't have any release dates yet.
Do these pants still carry the lifetime warranty?
Hello, Unfortunately none of our items offer a lifetime warranty. If you have any issues with an order, please contact Customer Service with order details so we can assist.
Looking for a slim fit, mainly in the leg area. Are these pants slim or at least not as baggy as other tactical pants, such as 511's?
Hello, Yes, we would recommend these or the Core Cargo for our brand. Check those out here: Core Cargo: https://lapolicegear.com/lapg-pt-btp9001-core-cargo.html Otherwise, 5.11 makes a popular slim fit style here: https://lapolicegear.com/511-defender-flex-slim-jean.html
What is the difference between these pants and the Core design?
Hello, The main difference is the material. The Core Cargos are a 55/45 cotton poly blend where the Urban Ops are a 65/35 poly cotton blend. With the material being different that also means the fabric weight differs. Urban Ops weigh slightly more than the Core Cargo's do. The Urban Ops have one single front slip pocket as the Core Cargo's do not. The Urban Ops have a gusseted crotch and the Core Cargo's do not.
How can I check out and finish my order?
Hello, The Cart button is at the top right of all pages of the site. You would click there to go on to the checkout page. If you need assistance ordering, please call our customer service line at 661-294-9499 M-F 7am-10am; 11am-2:30pm PST
can the length be altered shorten from 30in to 28in ?
Hello, We cannot do that for you, but this can be done after purchase.
Are these baggy bought pants from another company and they are extremely baggy
Hello, Most customers don't think this pant is baggy. We suggest reviewing customer reviews.
Why does the sale price say $18.99 and the detailed ad say $19.99?
the price of these pants have been slightly updated due to rising cost we will have our front add updated. we do apologize about this confusion.
I need a gray color for my uniform pants. Is your charcoal more of a gray or is it more bluish like some other tactical pants?
Our Charcoal is more true to an actual piece of charcoal color and is much less grey. I'll check with other customers to see if they have any feedback regarding the charcoal color being a bluish color.
Are you not selling these pants anymore because I have been checking the availability of them for months now and they all say "sold out" in every color that you have listed. If you are no longer selling them could you please let me know or at the very least put a message on the page that they are on so people know this. I am very disappointed in this I have always gotten very good service when I have ordered from you in the past but this has been a very frustrating experience as I have watched review videos on these pants and they seem like a good product at a good price that I want to try but as I said have not been able to get them. Please let me know what the status on them is so I know if I should stop checking & just look into something different. Thank you.
we are still in production of these pants and we do apologize about the extended delay with the delivery of these pants. Due to Labor strikes at the port of LA (which have since been resolved and the ports are now open) many shipments have been heavily delayed for manufactures (our pants included) because the ships were not being off loaded and this caused a major back up at the largest port on the west coast. currently since the ports have opened again they are working through the shipments moving again but at this time due to these unexpected port closures our ETA for the pants has been extended past our original delivery date. we are working to find a new delivery time frame but unfortunately one has not yet been made available. as soon as we do locate this information we will be updating the site accordingly.
If you live near the store and the pants don't fit can you return them to the store?
As long as they were purchased at the store then yes. If it was purchased online then it needs to come to the warehouse which is also in Valencia.
I bought a few pairs of these about a year ago and the fit was great. I just got a few more pairs and they are baggier and longer in the legs in the same size 32. Did the style change or do they shrink up after a lot of washings?
We did change manufacturers, so there could be some sizing discrepancy, but we do check to make sure they are within a threshold of I believe 1/2", and if not than we notify the manufacturer. We have a mixed batch right now from both manufacturers so there's no way for us to guarantee which one's you would get.
If we backordered these say back in Feburaury do we have to order them again once they are in stock. Or will you bill us once they come in stock?
Once they come in, they will automatically fill to your order, charge and ship at that time. There is no need to reorder.
How come you don't have my size it's the only one not in your sizes listing 32+30
I'm sorry I'm not sure what you're referring to. We do have that size listed and in stock in a couple different colors.
How does the fit on these compare to the basic covert ripstop you offer? More/less baggy in the crotch and upper thigh? More/less taper in the lower leg? I would prefer a straight leg with minimal taper down toward the lower leg and ankle, and a less baggy thigh and crotch Thanks
These pants we would say are a bit more baggy in the thigh/crotch area compared to the covert pants. they are not quite as baggy as our operator pants but they are a close second. we do hope this has better answered your questions
Are these available as shorts?
at this time no we do not offer a version of these pants in shorts.
