LAPG Men's Core Cargo 6 Pocket Tactical Pant

The LA Police Gear Men's Core Cargo Pant gives you all the basics you need, and none of the frills and gimmicks that you don't. We are talking classic, functional cargo pants that are simple, tough, and comfortable. This all-purpose pant can really do it all, and because we trimmed out the supertacticalhighspeed features that (let's be honest) only 5% of us use, the price stays affordable for our customers.

That being said, that doesn't mean these pants don't have the tough features you need. The Core Cargo Pant still has a metal YKK zipper, elastic waistband for comfort and CCW, and angled front pockets for clipping a knife, light, or pen. We also added in articulating knees for range of motion, and of course two big cargo pockets that close with hook & loop.

Lightweight Ripstop Fabric

The 55% Cotton/45% Polyester Rip-Stop fabric is the perfect combination of tough, breathable, and comfortable. It is a lightweight pant, you carry enough heavy gear that you don't need your pants to be extra heavy too.

Relaxed Fit

These pants have a relaxed fit that will be roomy while not looking like parachute pants. Customers love the fit and always talk about how comfortable these are!

Now available in Slim Fit!

Reviews

Same Pant and Size, Different Fit

"The two pants in my last order, both of the same size and style as stated on the lable (44×46), one was too tight in the waist to wear. I do like this style of pant (Core Tactical), but I'm hesitant to order again out of fear they too won't fit correctly."

GERALD G. (3/5)

Comfortable fitting and great for Duty pants

"They fit real well and they keep me warm when I need to be warm and they keep me cool when I need to be cool I like the feel of them because they don't feel cheap I definitely will buy more of these I bought two pair I'm going to buy two more"

Charles J. (5/5)

Meh, not great.

"This sizing is small so go one size up. I got them on sale but I wasn’t allowed to exchange them for a bigger size without paying the difference which I thought was kind of a bad deal since there is no way to try them on before you buy them. The crotch is tight but I don’t know if it’s because the sizing is off."

Daniel S. (1/5)

Pants for work

"Great service and really good fit. Only thing wish they had was pen pocket . But outside that really good pair of pants"

Christopher R. (5/5)

Great Cargo Pants

"These are great cargo pants for the price. I bought my first two pairs of LAPG cargo pants 15+ years ago for work and now have them in four different colors. They are comfortable, durable and practical for work or play."

Lauren R. (5/5)

Good quality

"These are really nice pants, they are made well and comfortable"

Brian S. (5/5)

Like the brand

"These run small however they actually Have tall sizes. I wear 36 long and the length is great I would love to see either low or mid waisted size"

KRISTY P. (4/5)

Fix me please

"I had bought 2 pair of the 6 pocket by accident, Had them now 2 weeks and the button to close the pairs of pants fell off already. Meanwhile all I've ever bought from you in the past years were 7 pocket and never had a problem yet. Just the regular wear and tear. For the money they cost you think you'd keep the same metal button on ALL pants."

Robert F. (3/5)

Rugged and comfortable

"Great pants for the price. Solid stitching, fits as expected. Rip-stop construction is something I always look for if I'm in the field."

Ken V. (5/5)

size

"they fit a little small, otherwise great."

Q&A

Are these true to size? Should I order a size larger to compensate for any shrinkage when washed? I also IWB carry does this change things?
They are true to size, so would order the size you normally wear. If you have an IWB, probably good to size up.
What is the care instructions for laundering?
Machine wash on cold, with like colors. Tumble dry on low. Warm iron if needed.
Are they water resistant?
The rip stop material does allow for some water resistance.
Is this material like a pair of jeans or thin nylon? Tks
The material is 55% Cotton/45% Polyester Rip-Stop Fabric. It isn't quite like either since the material composition is different.
Corren grandes o pequeños de cintura mudo 5’10
Son bastante fieles a la talla; pediría su talla habitual. Los pantalones tienen zonas elásticas en la cintura.
Soooo... your sizing chart says a size 32 has a 34" waist and a size 34 has a 36" waist. How much stretch do these pants have? Does the size 32 stretch to 34"? I'm used to BDU's that have a size range...
With the fabric and stretch areas on the sides, these pants can have up to a couple inches in stretch to them.
If they don’t fit, can I return for different size?
Unfortunately, we do not process exchanges the traditional way. You would have to send that item back for a refund and place a new order for the correct item. You can review our return policy here: https://lapolicegear.com/returns
Is the "size" referring to the waist size?
Yes, "size" refers to waist size.
will a traditional police duty belt (2.25") ft through the belt loops
Hello, Yes, the traditional police duty belt will fit through the belt loops.
Do these pants have blousing straps/strings at the ankle? Thank
No, they do not have blousing straps.
Do you know when these will be back in stock?
These are being restocked in July 2019, but we don't have an exact date.
where are the pants manufactured and what chemical is referred to in warning?
All LAPG brand pants are made overseas. The Prop 65 warning is required by California State Law to be shown on all pages of our website since our warehouse is located in California. The warning does not pertain to this item specifically.
How deep are the pockets? Similar to 5.11?
The cargo pocket is about 7.75" x 8". I'm unsure if those are similar to 5.11's.
Is this a light navy color or darker navy ?
Our color is considered a darker navy, but it doesn't appear like black.
Hi, i just ordered some of your core cargo pants. i usually order the normal BDU zipper pants, but decided to give these a try. my question is, can the LAPG tag on the right cargo pocket be removed easily? will not fit department standards. thanx
Hello, The tag on these pants has moved since originally posted online. New pictures are in the works to update this item. The location of the new tag will be on the back waistband, toward the right side. The tag is not fully sewn on, only the top portion is, so the rest hangs. This is a smaller tag and is often covered by a belt. I'm sure it can be removed if necessary with minimal to no damage to the pant.
What's the difference in the core plants and the urban ops pants?
Hello, The main difference with these pants are the materials. The Core Cargo pants are 55/45 cotton poly blend where the Urban Ops are 65/35 poly cotton blend. With the material being different, that also means the fabric weight differs. The Urban Ops weigh slightly more than the Core Cargo Pants. Further, the Urban Ops have one single front slip pocket, where the Core Cargo pants do not. The Urban Ops have a gusseted crotch and the Core Cargos do not. Hope this helps!
What color is boulder on the core cargo pants
Hello, The boulder is light and grey-ish. We are working to fix this page, but if you check out our Atlas pants and select Boulder in any size, the image will change to show the color. Check those out here for the color comparison: https://lapolicegear.com/lapg-pt-atlas-pant.html
What size are the belt loops?
Hello, The belt loops are 2.5" wide accommodating up to a 2.25" belt.
Do the LA Police Gear Core Cargo Pants have dedicated cell phone pockets like the Wranglers?
No these do not have a dedicated cell phone pocket.
Any chance the boot cuff is any wider in diameter than the other pants you carry? Either way what is thre width/diameter of the boot cuff?
I was able to pull one of these from the warehouse and take a look. I pulled a34x34 and the diameter of the opening is approximately 6.4î I hope this helps!
SHERIFF BROWN...will you offer Core Cargos in Sheriff/Dark Brown, please? I could add these to my uniform if you offered dark brown. Thanks
I don't know if we have any plans to offer that color but if we get enough interest we will certainly look into it.
I would like to know what is the different in color between boulder and sierra when it comes to the LA Police Gear Core Cargo Pant? I wish the pictures of the pants shown had the name of the color. It is frustrating trying to figure out the different colors.
Hello and sorry for the delayed response. This page is fixed so that now when a color selection is made in the drop down menu, the picture changes to match.
Do these pants have the drawstring at the bottom of the legs? I am interested in the cargos WITH leg drawstring.
Hello! These do not have the drawstring at the bottom. I believe the only LAPG pants to have that feature are our BDU pants.
Is the navy more blueish or greyish in color?
Hello, I find the Navy more blue, but the image makes it appear more grey.
Do these come with the opening for knee pads on the inside of the pants?
Hello No, these do not have a pocket for knee pads.
When will there be more pants that are back ordered ?
Iím sorry unfortunately I canít see your order but if you contact customer service at 661-294-9499 or email them at cs@lapolicegear.com and they can take a look at that with you.
I need comfortable cargos for work. How do thes sizes convert to womans sizes?
From what I can find online just add 21 to the women's size you need and that should come out to the same waist size in men's.
Do these pants have the concealed/ internal to the cargo pocket mag pouches like your other pairs?
These have two pockets in the front, two in the back, and one cargo pocket on each leg.
Hi did you sent items in france also Thank's for your cooperation Have a good day Patrick
Yes we can certainly ship these to France.
Q: Do these breath better in a hot / humid southern climate than the Urban Op pants? Really interested in these, but spend WAY too much time running around in the heat to go with my existing LAPG pants. Thanks in advance for your help!
I have put your question out to our online community and unfortunately no one has replied yet. I have not worn these pants in the heat but I have worn these: http://www.lapolicegear.com/lapg-pt-atlas-pant.html And they work great!
