Preserving all the features of the Atlas Pants (minus the length), these shorts immediately became one of our top sellers and for good reason. Both the Atlas Pants and the Atlas Shorts are PACKED with every feature you could need. They are exceedingly comfortable, low profile, and durable. The Stretch Tech System is one of the critical reasons this tactical short is so comfortable. There are stretch panels placed in key areas on the short, namely the entire crotch and butt of the pant and the rear yoke. The result is a pant that will move with you no matter your position. 

The LAPG Atlas Short features 10 total pockets and has an optimized layout to give you tons of options no matter your EDC. Many of our customers made these Atlas shorts their EDC Short because of the pocket layout.

Decent pants

"The pocket layout is stellar and the shorts themselves are great, but the stitching in the seat/crotch on both pairs i owned only last 6 months or so then ripped where the ultra stretchy fabric is. Could have been user error but i have since switched to the operator cargo pants and get years out of them. . they aren't as good for comfort or pocket layout at all, but they last. Kind of depends what youre doing in these shorts but i was working every day with a lot of squatting."

Fits great, Very soft fabric

"I wanted some khaki shorts and these looked a lot like the LAPG pants that I have. Love the pockets, I can slide a Samsung S24 Ultra in to the thigh pocket with no problem. Fit is great, the material is very soft and smooth unlike some other brands that the inner seams are rough and scratchy. Fabric also seems to breath well which is nice since I work in a hot very climate."

The stretch materials used gives it the flexibility and comfort for an all day adventure or just a relaxing day at home. The only unknown is the durability of the materials. Q&A

What size is the leg opening on this Atlas Cargo Short?

I’ve purchased atlas shorts a few time, and about a year and a half later purchased 4 more pair and they were much tighter/shorter in the groin area with the waist riding much lower…. I procrastinated sending them back and as a result very seldom wore them. I’m contemplating buying more but don’t want this fit, I prefer the original fit that I had with first ones. I have not had any size change, so it’s not that, just not sure if this was new style or maybe new manufacturing issue/mistake ?
Great question! Over the production runs, we have tried very hard to ensure they are accurate to the sizing chart. Would order your typical size. If there is any issue, we would be happy to accept them back right away.
Do you have any plans to have these shorts with a shorter inseam?
Unfortunately these will not be coming with a shorter inseam. The shortest inseam we offer is 10" on our Elite Operator Shorts, item # SS503.
