LA Jumbo Bailout Bag

"A wonderful and excellent durable bag! Came in quite fast and use it daily for school and work! It’s able to fit my gaming laptop, charger, Nintendo Switch and more. Especially a lot of compartments for storage. I’d say it’s the perfect bag in my opinion!"

— Paul J. (5/5)

Great Detective duty bag with

"Great Detective duty bag with plenty of pockets. Ranger green looks great. I needed an upgraded bag for my passenger seat. I got tired of my old 511 patrol wingman bag"

— Lance H. (5/5)

Nice bag. I thought it

"Nice bag. I thought it would be more like a range bag. Also, the inside divider is stitched in so it can not be removed. Other then that, nice bag."

— Mark M. (4/5)

Great strong bag

"REALLY sturdy for the price. I was shocked. I will say the only negative is that it is taller than I expected, so it doesn't stand up on its own very well. It's a bit awkward for storying multiple handguns plus ammo."

— Justin Z. (4/5)

Excellent bag

"I have several of the standard bail out bag for range use, one for pistols and another for rifles. Keep my field survey tools in another one. My new company pickup lacks organized storage space so I went with the larger one for that purpose. Plenty of room for gloves, hats, vests, notebooks , etc. They are versatile and tough. Can’t beat the price."

— David W. (5/5)

My prayers were answered

"I was looking for a bigger gear bag for the range. Just my Ear protection, eye protection, shot timer took up a majority of my old bags space. Now I have room for all that and then some. Well worth the buy!"

— Matthew L. (5/5)

Great bag!

"I needed a bag for work and my old briefcase/computer bag from college was beyond messed up. Beautiful color and tons of storage. Really nice zippers, as well. Love it."

— Kimberly S. (5/5)

Jumbo?

"Ok LAPG, you want an Honest review, here goes. . . The bag is SMALLER than I expected. I don't know what exactly I expected, but what I got isn't it. The bag is well made, but it's more the size of a tactical briefcase than a "bailout bag". The interior is very suitable for a laptop and a few files. There is also plenty of room in the generous number of pockets for cables, separate mouse, batteries and other admin. tools and accessories. Yes, you can carry a weapon and extra mags, a knife(or 2), a flashlight, an IFAK, glasses, snacks and water/drinks. There really is a lot of room and different compartments in/on this bag, and it will handle a lot of small gear, but I just don't see it as a bailout bag. The design for a "bailout bag", in my opinion would have to be more of a back pack configuration for ease of carrying that would keep the hands free for whatever you use hands for. Yes, it would have to be removed from the back to access the gear, so this is a trade off for keeping your hands free. I'm NOT saying this isn't a good product, and many people may find it to be just what they need/want. I would just use it in a different role. As a heavy duty (heavy is the operative word here) tactical briefcase, I think it would really shine. This is JUST MY OPINION, but I have A LOT of bags, and this doesn't fit my vision of a bailout bag."

— William N. (3/5)

Well made

"The bag is well made and had plenty of pockets. c"

— Jim P. (5/5)

Replacement years later, almost perfect.

"I was looking for a replacement for the exact same bag I'd ordered years earlier. Great bag, however they reduced the width of the bag, which has the effect of making the drink holders on either side go from being able to hold a metal double hulled insulated water bottle, to so small, only a thin 3' diameter coffee mug will fit in there. Really the only deficiency. Build and material look solid."

Q&A

Whats the best way to keep the strap onnections from squeaking when you carry the bag? Not sure if it's the hook or the part that rotates or both.: So sorry it is doing that. A small amount of lubricant should do the trick.
Are the zippers lockable using those small TSA locks?: Yeah, you can put locks through the zipper loops if you wanted to.
Does this bag come with the name tape "DADDY"? (as shown in pictures) ...or is that a special request?: The patches are not included and are for demonstration purposes only. We do not make custom nametapes for online orders at this time.
What are the exact dimensions of the Jumbo Bail Out bag? Thx: Hello, The dimensions are 15" wide and 17" long.
How long to get black back in stock, I’m going to have to go with another bag. This is ridiculous.: Our ETA for restock is June
Can the main compartment of the bag be locked? Will the bag hold a couple of pistols and mags in your cases, 500 rounds of pistol ammo, 2 pairs of glasses, ears, sunscreen, water bottles, etc. I have a patrol bag that would be too big and not as well organized. Thanks, Jeff: Yes, I just confirmed that the zippered compartments are do have the ability to be locked. As for the items and fitting, it's a pretty big bag, so i don't see any reason why those items listed wouldn't fit.
My work laptop is 15.6", I'm looking for a rugged laptop bag for a reasonable price. Am I out of luck with this bag with my laptop being half inch larger than what the specs are for this bag?: Hello! I just went and double checked this bag. I'm unsure if your measurement was the diagonal? BUT- the internal measurements were approximately 16" high, 19" wide and a diagonal of 24". Please note, these are all approximate as I literally took a tape measure inside the bag myself. Overall, I think your laptop will fit. :)
What's the largest diameter water bottle that will fit the end pockets on both the Regular and Jumbo BOBs? (The 32 oz Nalgene has 3.5" dia.): Both the Bailout Bag and Jumbo Bailout bag will hold a bottle with an approximate 3.6" diameter. However, while the bailout bag has a little bit of extra room in the side pouch (about .2"), the Jumbo Bailout Bag has no room and it is a little hard to get into the pocket.
Is this machine washable?: we would recommend not washing it with a machine but just rinsing it off outside and cleaning it by hand would be better.
The buckle / clip assembly that attaches the shoulder strap to the bag has broke on both sides after a year or so of heavy use. Is there a way to purchase and replace those instead of buying a whole new bag?: Unfortunately, we do not sell replacement parts for our bags. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
Is there any padding protection for the laptop?: The outer walls of this bag do have padding built in to protect the items inside the bag.
Where is this bag manufactured?: The Jumbo Bail out bag is made in China.
Which bag is bigger overall LAPG-1001 LA GEAR or the LAPG-1119Jumbo IS the higher denier really a factor ?: The LAPG-1001 Operator Patrol Bag is bigger overall. Both the LAPG-1001 and LAPG-1119Jumbo are made from 600 Denier Nylon, which comes in handy when put to hard use.
When will this Jumbo bag be available in the "Foliage" color, like the smaller version? That is a great color, and it should be made available for this bag. Thanks.: as of right now we do not have any production plans for this bag in foliage, we will keep this in mind though and possibly look to making this an option for the future.
I see there is a velcro patch for an insignia or flag. What size is the velcro patch, and can you point me (url) to a velcro'd American flag patch that would fit there? Will these fit? http://www.lapolicegear.com/american-flag-patch-mil-spec-monkey.html Many thanks.: This bag has 3 Hook and Loop Areas. Two are 4" x 3" and one is 5.5" x 2.75". The Milspec Monkey Flag patch will fit fine in one of those areas.
What is the zipper in the middle of the "lid" for? it seems to be a pocket that is too small for anything to fit in.: The intent of that pouch was for batons and one of the pictures we have shows a baton sticking out of it.
Are there plans to add Foliage as a color choice as with the smaller version?: we do have plans to produce this item in foliage as well but we do not have an exact date yet as to when they will be available.
What is then inference r between this bag and the tactical diaper bag? The write-up looks identical.: The bags are the same exact one. just a way for us to show a different use for the bag.
Does either one of the bail out bags fit as a "personal bag" on an airplane: The Jumbo Bailout Bag will probably be too big to carry as a personal bag, but it is still small enough to be a carry on. The normal Bailout Bag is small enough to be used as a personal bag and stored under your seat.
To what extent is this bag water resistant?: The bag is water resistant to the extent that if it is lightly rained on, the water should not seep in. However, if it is in heavy rain for an extended period of time, the water will soak through.
Any plans on making you Jumbo Bailout Bag in the new colors?: I don't know if we have any plans for that in the works but if we get enough interest we will certainly look into it.
I have an older version of this bag. The straps squeak like crazy. I just got a newer bag in gray with absolutely no squeaks. Can i but an upgraded shoulder strap with non squeaky clips...or just a new set of clips that dont squeak in coyote?: I can only do minimal troubleshooting through the Q&A. If you contact customer service at 661-294-9499 or email them at cs@lapolicegear.com they can take a look at that with you.
There is a small almost flat pocket on the top of the bag, running the length of the top flap. Do you know what the vision or specific idea was for that slit pocket? I realize that it could be used for various long, thin items like pens, or maybe a very small scope, but I would love to know the original intended use. Thanks!: That can be used for a variety of purposes from a storing a citation book to CCW, If you watch the video it shows some uses for the various pockets.
Currently assigned in a detective office. Looking to see if this bag would hold a 9 x 15 inch legal leather portfolio holder for statements etc. need a smaller bag then the patrol bags. .: that will fit in here as the dimensions for the main compartment are 16" (L) x 5.5" (W) x 13" (H).
What is the weight of the Jumbo Bail Out Bag?: 4lbs 3.2 oz or 1 Kilo and 905 grams
Will the magazine pockets hold 20 round ar-10 mags?: We will see if our customers have experience with this.
I ama currently an auxiliary PO and will be a trooper before going into the air force and being a lawyer for veterans. I am looking for a bag that will not only fit basic needs when i go out there, but to also have enough space for documents or text books that I will need for college. Is this big enough to fit a binder of some sort? also, I am looking to order a bulk amount of these for other officers . is there a way I can get customized name tags to go on the velcro? Are there any discounts for bulk buyers?: I apologize for the delayed response. These are definitely big enough for a binder. As far as name tapes and doing a bulk order we can certainly do that, the best thing to do is to go through the quotes team: http://www.lapolicegear.com/quote.html And they can let you know what kind of package we can put together for you.
Whatís the difference between this jumbo bag and the jumbo diaper bag if any??? Thanks: They're the same bag just different purposes.
Would this bag be suitable for storage of a Ops-Core helmet (11"Lx9"Wx6"H) and associated NVG? It would okay if the helmet had to go in on it's side (only 6"): the main compartment of this item is 16" x 5.5" x 13 so it might be a bit small for what you intend to use this for. we do apologize.
When is this item going to be back in stock? I ordered one a month ago and have not received any updates.: I am sorry for the wait, I do see that we have some coming in later this month. Unfortunately I can't see your order but if you need to change anything or request a split shipment just call customer service at 661-294-9499 or email them at cs@lapolicegear.com and they can look into that for you.
