Rucking +

"Bought this primarily for Rucking. So far it's been great for that. The compression straps make positioning the weight in the bag easy and stable. With the chest and waist straps, it a very stable pack when moving fast. The hydration bladder sleeve is a nice addition, but it's only accessible from the inside of the main compartment, making it a pain to refill without unloading the whole pack. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars."

Buy an Atlas pack instead

"Worst pack I've ever owned. I was looking for something in a size between my Atlas 12 and 24, which I love. Zippers do not cut around the corners, you really have to work them. No organization at all. The back mesh is not sewn in with padding, they just put a thin pad inside the pack. No stiffener. Shoulder straps are thinner than the Atlas's. It looked good on paper but a major fail."

Jay K. (5/5)

Well made

"This is very well made and has been a lifesaver for me with full time work and school."

Eric N. (5/5)

Seems well constructed, time will tell.

"Seems well constructed, have it packed but haven't gotten a range trip with it yet. I can't wait to really get it out and put it through its paces. So far it does its job, I have high hopes"

"I wrote a great review about issues with the pack and they did not post it!"

Great pack for the money!

"This is a great backpack. I love mainly everything about it. My main two qualms with it are the zipper hoods (The cloth coverings that go over all the zippers that stuff drives me nuts so I have to cut it off) which unfortunately resulted in some tearing and holes prematurely. The other thing is I've never had a backpack that held so much smell, I must have only used it for maybe a week. Literally just carrying a to And from my car at work before it smelled repulsive and had to be washed and left in the sun for a week, and now I'm just make absolutely sure to Only wear it with clean shirts after I've had a shower. Odd but is what it is. Otherwise it's got great storage, durability, love the coyote color. Id definitely still recommend!"

Sam P. (4/5)

Amazing

"Very sturdy, been using it for rucks, the thick pad on the back makes it to where it feels like you're wearing nothing, easily able to carry 45 lbs without any issues, very sturdy and durable straps too."

Evan H. (5/5)

3day pack out

"More robust than I thought. Zippers were a little awkward with use should loosen up. Good purchase!"

Q&A

Do any of these bags has a pouch or small pocket that are for medicine like that it’s like a small cooler
Hi Frank, This bag does not have a pocket like that.
Is it waterproof
No, it is not waterproof.
Is this bag small enough to be used as a carry-on or in an overhead compartment on an airplane?
Size restrictions are varied from Airline to Airline, but we have used this item on United and SouthWest with no problem. NOTE - we recommend confirming with your Airline what their carry on size limits are. This bag is 19" tall X 13" wide X 12" thick at bottom and 9" at the top
What is the approximate weight of this pack?
This backpack weighs approximately 2.25 lbs when empty.
This bag says "Hydration compatible with ports on both shoulders". Does the bag also have a hydration reservoir hanger inside?
No, there is no hanger for the reservoir. If you watch the product video, you can see that we slide the reservoir into the main pocket pouch along the back. There is a foam comfort padding that the hook may affix to if you want to ensure it hangs.
Does the bag have a computer pocket?
This bag does not have a dedicated laptop pocket, but it will easily accommodate one.
What size capacity hydration bladder fits in the 3 Day Backpack?
The 3 Day Backpack will take hydration bladders up to 3 liters.
Will it fit a 17" macbook pro inside the backpack?
it should fit the 17inch laptop just fine.
Is this a soft back or is there a thin sheet of plastic to protect your back from things in the bag? Thanks.
this item does not have an internal backing against your back.
Is the waist strap belt made for load bearing? Or is it simply to keep the backpack close to the body?
The waist strap is designed to both help with the load of the pack as well keep it close to you. it is a very basic design though as it is just a single strap but it will help with both.
The original version of this backpack does have Molle on the bottom (I'm looking at it right now), and I didn't see any mention of it being removed in V2.0 - has it really been deleted from the new version, several folks have asked this question and I'm starting to wonder if the answer that's previously been given is, in fact, correct ?
Yes the bottom MOLLE has been removed. If you watch the video you can see it in a couple places.
Is this bag made in the USA?
this bag is made overseas in china.
Does this bag have any straps on the bottom?
This bag does have molle straps located at the bottom of the bag.
Does this have a padded back, pictures do not show if it does?
There is some padding along the back, but it's like a 1/4" and is pretty negligible. It's pretty standard to normal packs. So, I would lean more towards no if it's the amount of padding that I think you are expecting.
I bought one of your 3 day gear backpacks from a local store and I lost my two waist straps do you have replacement waist straps in coyote?
We might, please contact us at CS@lapolicegear.com with your proof of purchase and we can check with your returns department to see if we have an extra one to send out to you.
What is the empty weight of the pack? Thanks.
This item empty weighs about 3.3 pounds.
There's three different "coyote' colors pictured. Which images would be the best representation of the color?
The coyote color you will get when placing the order will be image 3. We will try to get consistent pictures of this color uploaded on our site.
Is this made in America?
no this item is made over seas in china.
What is the liter dimensions of this pack? Seems like all the makers now use that to describe the carrying capacity in lieu of Square inches.
This is approximately a 40 liter pack.
Is this water proof?
This item is not waterproof.
I have had this bag for about 2-3 months and it has already torn along near the handle handle up on top. What is the warrranty for this item or is there one? Other then that I love this bag for my DCT riot gear and for when I am on the range teaching a firearms class. Sincerely, Shawn Kennedy
Please email us at CS@lapolicegear.com with pictures of your defective bag for review and we will contact you with further instructions.
Does the tag on the inside say LA police gear?
No, there's a small green tag that says Made In China, but there's no LAPG tag beside the one on the outside.
Does it take 1.5 liter hydration bladders or 2.5
This can take both
What is the weight of this pack?
Approx 2.5-3lbs unpacked.
When will the other colors become available again? I am overseas right now and I missed when they had all the colors available
We are expecting to get more in stock in the next 2 months.
Could this bag fit a laptop in the larger compartment?
This item is 19" tall X 13" wide X 12" thick at bottom and 9" at the top. if your laptop is this size then it will fit just fine.
The video says the 3-day backpack has a removable back plate, but an answer on this page says it doesn't. Which is it?
The "back plate" isn't an actual plate. It is actually a half inch foam padding that runs along the entire back of the pack.
I feel kind of dumb asking this question. But can this backpack hold a PR-24.?
Since the baton is 24" long and the max size of the main compartment is approx 19", this will not fit.
Will the Blackhawk frame sheet, or any others, fit this pack?
It will fit however it is a little narrow for this pack.
Will a 15inch MacBook fit in this backpack?
Yes, this backpack will easily fit a 15" laptop.
