The CRKT M21 Knife features a unique design offering a combination of Carson Series features requested by military procurement specialists. The deep-bellied spear point blades were specified because they offer maximum strength. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt which is rare in folding knives. The handles are contoured with black, hard anodized 6061 T6 aluminum, and a perimeter radius.. This knife features stainless steel locking liners with friction grooves give positive locking and a AUS 8 stainless Blade steel with a Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edge. The automated liner safety sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame, this pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. To close the knife, pull the red buttoned safety lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position
